We are miles from civilization in the backcountry, skiing ancient volcanoes. It’s a big part of my love for skiing. Exposed in an inhumane landscape by choice but with the utmost enjoyment. Building friendships and pushing our own boundaries. Big mountains are humbling, and they help let go of our naive sense of control. Time flies out here, it’s the reason we come. Here’s a photo that Tyler Roemer snapped while we were both flying through time in Nowhereland. Enjoy.
